In his youth, Don and his brothers founded the Wright Brother’s Orchestra. As a student at the University of Western Ontario, he was deeply involved in music. Don taught at Sir Adam Beck Collegiate, and then became Director of Music for the City of London. A hallmark contribution to music education includes Don’s Youthful Voices Series. After war service Don moved into radio, the Don Wright Chorus was then formed, its popularity attracting attention from CBC, NBC, and others. 1959 he wrote the music for the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway, and was presented to HRH Queen Elizabeth II and President Eisenhower. Later, his writing of hundreds of jingles for radio and television, earned him the title of Canada’s “jingle king”.

At 13 universities across Canada, there are more than 34 endowed scholarships - Don’s kindness continues.
